It seems every countertop company these days is promoting the “latest” green countertop on the market.  At Stone Surfaces, we have fabricated and installed virtually every type of so called eco-friendly countertop that is available.  While some of these products live up to their designation better than others, they all seem to fall short in one way or another.  Concrete countertops, on the other hand, allow us to get back to the basics of locally sourced materials and minimal waste.  Stone Surfaces’ distinction as a natural stone fabricator allows for the recovery and reprocessing of the waste generated by our stone production.  The result is a truly recycled product which is produced locally in every respect.  After all, that is what Green design is all about.

Want a 3” thick countertop?  No problem.  Each piece is custom made and can be formed to any thickness.

Textures and Finishes

While Stone Surfaces’ hallmark concrete surfaces are either polished or ground, the incorporation of different aggregates yields entirely customized results.  From glass to semi-precious stones, marbles to fossils, almost any aggregate can be included in your unique creation.

The creation of concrete requires it to be formed.  This means that any shape that can be formed, can be made with concrete.  Creativity is the only limitation.




Strength

Our concrete is of the highest strength and durability due to our unique mix design.  Advanced sealers, as well as recycled additives such as fly ash and silica fume have made it possible to create a product that is substantially more stain resistant and virtually crack proof compared to traditional concrete.
